my desire

My desire to make this world a better place is help out in other countries that have anything. I would donate any clothes that I don't wear to people who need it most. By doing all of these good deeds it would make me feel much better about myself and for the people who I am helping.

When I heard the news about the Philippines I was very upset.  This has happen before in the world and its sad to see that happen again.  About 10 thousand people died and thinking about how many families are affected by this is devastating. Peoples houses and lives are ruined because of this tragedy.

wiki research

1. Wiki can be used in our current classes because it would be easy for teachers to edit the your work.
2. The benefits of using Wiki is that if you are doing a project with someone you both can edit it easier.
3. We can use it in this class by using examples on new tech inventions and sending it to the students and state there opinions.
4. I do not have any experience but would use it sometime later on.

      If I could be invisible I would help someone if they were being bullied by pulling the other person away. I would push the person off the person that is being bullied.  I would help someone cross the street.
      I would help anyone if they were in harm.  If i saw someone robbing a store i would try and get him to stop.  I would help anyone if i saw them getting harmed.

Crazy Brits car changes color!

• Like the Hot Wheels Toy Car, when u apply cold water to the car, it automatically changes color.
• As a child Hot Wheels were known for the color change of the car by just adding water.
• They use a thermochromic paint job, thats why it can change color.

      The class that i would want to have is cosmetology because that's what I enjoy the most.  I would show how to do hair and make up.  A cosmetology class would provide bringing in a note book because we would take some notes.  The class would be more hands on instead of taking a notes and tests.  I would rather my class be more hands on because it will teach them more.
       I would make the class fun and enjoyable instead of boring and have students fall asleep in my class.  I feel as if the students will learn more by being more hands on and doing the hair and makeup themselves.  There would be no tests but i will grade on how much you have improved through out the year.  Mostly everyone will pass this class because its not that hard unless you don't pay attention.  This class would only be an elective you wouldn't have to take it but i think I would have a lot of students because its what girls enjoy doing most.

       This year I will be taking holocaust and history with Ms. Gaven, she enjoys teaching the class about history.  We will be going on a bunch like the Holocaust museum and the 9/11 memorial.  I like her classes because history is one of my favorite things to learn about especially the holocaust. I know that I will be learning a lot in these classes because I actually like these topics. I cant wait to see what is planned the rest of the year for these two classes.

Holocaust Museum

      The main thing that I am looking forward to this school year is is going to the holocaust museum because i always wanted to go there.  Holocaust always interests me, it one of the topics in school i actually like. Talking about how they used to live and how they were treated interests me. I am looking forward to what else has to come this school year.   

Tech Assignment 1

• The ios7 introduces new features such as Control Center, Airdrop for ios, and smarter multitasking.
• Users will be able to turn on the LED flash on the back of the phone. 
• Photos will be dated and timed so you have get to them easier.
•  iOS 7 GM will be the last non-public iOS build Apple releases before iOS 7 is made available to the public next week
• They added new ringtones and wallpapers to the ios 7.

 

9/11 do now

September 11th means a lot to me and our country. Our country changed a lot after this happen, and it has affected so many people.  I give respect to every fire fighter, police, worker, etc who died that day.  I am thankful that my grandpa was late going to work that day or else we would've been in the towers.  I also give respect to the families that have lost a love one that horrible day.

Hi I am Jenna Calvo, I live in Wood-Ridge and currently 16 years old.  I am a junior in Wood-Ridge Highschool.  I cheer, play basketball, and do track.  On my free time I hang out with my friends, we have a big group of 10 we always have a great time when we hang out!
